Alpen Capital (ME) Limited, Dubai, was recognized once again with the Dubai Chamber CSR Label. This is the eighth consecutive year that the organization has won the accolade for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.

H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the award to Sameena Ahmad, Managing Director, Alpen Capital and Blessy Maben, Assistant Vice President, Alpen Capital at a special event held on 30th September 2019.

Alpen Capital has always shown a strong commitment to inculcating CSR and sustainability practices as a part of its everyday work life.

Alpen Capital’s CSR framework is an integral part of its business strategy and is reflected in its approach towards employees, vendors, the larger community as well as the environment.

H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulated Alpen Capital Middle East for receiving the Label and praised its efforts to raise CSR standards. This achievement, he noted, reflects growing awareness of the importance of CSR among the UAE’s business community, adding that he hopes the honor will encourage other businesses to adopt responsible business practices.

“At Alpen, CSR is an important component of our overall corporate strategy. Over the years, we have raised the benchmark for ourselves with new initiatives to promote CSR,” said Rohit Walia, Executive Chairman, Alpen Capital (ME) Limited.

He added: “The Dubai Chamber Label provides a framework for organisations to benchmark and enhance their CSR performance, thus encouraging companies to improve practices and maximize their social impact. We are thankful to the Chamber for this initiative.”

Since its launch in 2010, the Dubai Chamber CSR Label has grown in significance to become the highest level of recognition for the CSR efforts of businesses in the Middle East.

The Dubai Chamber CSR Label is open to all organisations, private or public, regardless of their size, sector, or operations, and can make a major difference to a company’s reputation, efficiency and productivity. The Chamber honoured 18 companies for their corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts for the first half of 2019.
